Michelle is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) and has been working with children for over 15 years. She has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Michelle worked in Denver, CO at Third Way Center (Residential Treatment Center for adolescents) for 6 years. Michelle moved to Omaha, NE in 2015 where she has been working with children through adults in a mental health setting. Michelle has experience with residential, day program, and outpatient mental health settings. Michelle has training in the following therapeutic modalities: trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), specialized training in working with children and families affected by sexual abuse and/or problematic sexual behavior (Rsafe Clinical Endorsements Training), dialectical behavior therapy, integrative attachment focused therapy, circle of security and ACES. Michelle also works part-time training therapists in the metro area and western Nebraska to work with children/families affected by sexual abuse. Michelle works with children to adults and enjoys helping her clients find a safe space to process through issues and find solutions that make sense for each and every individual or family. Michelle is married, has 3 daughters and 2 dogs. In her spare time she enjoys reading, working out, spending time with friends/family.
