Robin is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and National Certified Counselor. Robin has over 15 years of experience working with children and families ranging from emergency shelters, residential facilities, in-home services, private practices, and an EAP setting. She was the Clinical Director of a day treatment facility for young children as well. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/Art from Morningside College in Sioux City, IA and her Masters of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee. Robin has done volunteer work at camps for families with children surviving cancer and their siblings, and has facilitated groups through Mourning Hope in Lincoln, NE to help families who are grieving from the loss of a loved one. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and works with children, adolescents and adults with trauma. Robin is certified in IoWa Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (IoWa-PCIT) with a focus on attachment and certified to train this modality. She has been trained in Circle of Security and ACES and enjoys providing supervision to therapists to help develop their strengths and skills as well. Robin and her husband are parents to three children and several pets.
